Meet The doctors

Dr. Stalin Borges, DMD

Dr. Stalin Borges was born in Brazil and raised in New Jersey, where his interest in dentistry first took root. He returned to his home country to pursue dental school and earn his orthodontic certificate, embarking on a rewarding decade of clinical practice that saw him start several successful practices while simultaneously serving as a clinical instructor, shaping the skills of future dentists.

Driven by an ambition to reach even greater heights in his profession, Dr. Borges made the significant decision to relocate back to the United States with his older brother and practice partner, Dr. Yuri Borges. He attended dental school for a second time, earning his DMD at the prestigious Rutgers School of Dental Medicine in New Jersey. During this second chapter of his education, the Borges brothers’ exceptional abilities earned them both a spotlight position and a clinical award for outstanding clinical performance—a testament to their dedication and skill.

The dream of building a life and practice in Florida drew the brothers to St. Augustine, where Dr. Stalin Borges and his family now call St. John’s County home. His international training, decade of experience, and dual dental education provide patients with a unique perspective and comprehensive expertise that few dentists can offer.

Outside the practice, Dr. Borges is a devoted family man who enjoys spending quality time with his wife, daughter, and their beloved Sheltie. He’s an avid reader, enjoys cooking and traveling, appreciates beach days under the Florida sun, and maintains his health through regular weightlifting—all pursuits that reflect his balanced approach to life and work.

Dr. Yuri Borges, DMD

Dr. Yuri Borges shares his younger brother’s remarkable journey from Brazil to New Jersey, back to Brazil for dental education, and ultimately to the United States for advanced training. Born in Brazil and raised in New Jersey, Dr. Borges returned to his home country to earn his dental degree and orthodontic certificate, launching what would become a distinguished decade of clinical practice in Brazil.

During those formative years, Dr. Borges not only built several successful dental practices but also served as a clinical instructor, sharing his knowledge and passion with aspiring dentists. His commitment to excellence and desire to expand his expertise led him to pursue a second dental degree in the United States, joining his brother at Rutgers School of Dental Medicine to earn his DMD.

The brothers’ exceptional performance during their American dental education earned them both recognition through a spotlight position and a clinical award for outstanding clinical performance at Rutgers—honors that reflected their already substantial experience and unwavering dedication to the highest standards of care. With their American credentials in hand, the Borges brothers pursued their shared dream of settling in Florida with their families.

Today, Dr. Yuri Borges is proud to call St. Augustine home, where he and his family enjoy the vibrant community and beautiful surroundings of St. John’s County. His dual education, international experience, and proven track record of clinical excellence ensure that every patient receives care informed by the best of both Brazilian and American dental training.

When he’s not in the practice, Dr. Borges channels his discipline and determination into endurance athletics. An avid runner, he has completed numerous triathlons and marathons, including an ultramarathon in Ireland and a full marathon in the challenging Atacama Desert of Chile.

These achievements reflect the same commitment to excellence he brings to his dental practice. Above all, Dr. Borges treasures time with his wife and daughter, finding balance between his professional passion and family life.
